These terms govern your use of ClanTab (the "app"), operated by Indra Dev Nakka, trading as Nakka-Labs ("we", "us"). By signing in and using ClanTab, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.
What ClanTab is
ClanTab helps small groups track and split shared expenses and see the fewest payments needed to settle up. ClanTab does not process payments. Marking a debt "paid" only records that members settled it between themselves, outside the app — by cash, bank transfer, or any other method they choose.
Accounts
You must sign in with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google to use ClanTab. You're responsible for keeping that account secure — we can't recover access to a group for you if you lose it. You must be at least 13 years old to use ClanTab.
Groups and shared access
A group is accessible to anyone holding its current invite link or join code, whether or not they've signed in. This is by design — the same trust model as a shared document link — and it means you're responsible for who you share a group's link or code with. We are not liable for actions taken by anyone you or another member gives access to.
Your content
Group names, member display names, expense descriptions, and anything else you type are yours, but you grant us the right to store and transmit them to the other members of that group so the app can function. You agree not to post content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable. We may remove content, remove a member from a group, or suspend or terminate an account that violates this, with or without notice — see Support to report a problem.
No financial responsibility
ClanTab calculates balances and suggests settlements based on the information members enter. We do not verify that a debt was actually paid, mediate disputes between members, or take any responsibility for money owed between them. Any disagreement about an expense or a debt is between the members involved.
No warranty
ClanTab is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app or its backend will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. This is a small, independently operated project, not a financial institution.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nakka-Labs and Indra Dev Nakka are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of ClanTab, including money owed between group members, lost data, or service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim relating to ClanTab is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months — which, since ClanTab is free, is zero.
Account and data deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is and isn't removed, and how to request deletion of a group's shared records.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as ClanTab changes. If a change is material, the "Last updated" date above will change and, where practical, we'll note it in the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
